The Goddess Artemis could be a cruel Goddess, especially when it came to protecting her own honor and virginity. Such was the story of Actaeon the hunter. Actaeon quite innocently stumbled upon the favorite bathing place of Artemis while hunting one day. As soon as the Goddess spotted him, she flung drops of water at him and he was instantly changed into a stag. Terrified, he fled as his own hounds began to chase him. Poor Actaeon was eventually ripped to pieces. This was the punishment for daring to look upon the naked Goddess. The feathers in the earrings represent the hunter in you, and luckily will bring you a fate better than Actaeon's.

These earrings are made from natural Pheasant feathers and amber beads. They are 5" in length and have gold plated lever back earwires.
