Arethusa was a nymph who was a part of Diana's hunting train. One day after a long and exhausting chase Arethusa became separated from the rest of the group. She decided to bathe in a nearby river. At once the River God fell in love with her and pursued her. He tried to chase her but she fled and by the time the River God (Alpheus) caught up to her, Artemis heard her cry for help. Arethusa was instantly changed into a bubbling spring. Underground passageways led her away from Alpheus and to Sicily.

This necklace is made of a 24KT Gold Dipped Acid Washed Cottonwood Leaf, Turquoise, and Gold Coral. It measure 17" in length and closes with a gold plated bar and ring toggle clasp. *Please note size and shape of the leaf may slightly vary*
